Self-Led Hiking in the Scottish Highlands
|
After two years of excellent reports from our customers, we
are delighted to offer this exhilarating and unique trek through the magical Isle of Skye.
The route is truly spectacular, including some coastal walking, trekking through the famous Cuillin mountains, and finally traversing the Quiraing before descending to Duntulm Castle on the far north of Skye, with stunning views to the Outer Hebrides. |
|
Though the distances are not great and the height gain moderate on most sections, this trek is only suitable for experienced walkers with good map and compass reading abilities, as the trek is not waymarked and the trails indistinct at times.
This trek is offered with daily baggage transfers included, so that walkers can comfortably complete the route and enjoy the solitude and magnificent scenery, knowing that their baggage awaits them at the next stop, especially important if the weather is changeable. This trek can be shortened to 4-7 days if required, starting further north in the island. En suite accommodation throughout, subject to availability. |
